Surprisingly lovely location. Full of character. Relaxed staff but efficient staff.
The twin room was a little cramped but adequate.
The breakfast was excellent!! The waiting staff at breakfast were professional and prompt. Lots of smiling helpful faces.
The mattress was cheap and uncomfortable. It was the worst mattress I've slept on for some time.
Felt very homely, sorroundings lovely sorry we only stayed 1 night. Lady who served who in the bar was very friendly and food was lovely.
Not a great welcome although lady was pleasant.
Great location, picturesque, lovely grounds. Worth paying for sea view!
Very good value for money The view from our room was lovely
Some of the staff were not very friendly There was a wedding on the Saturday so maybe restaurant was busier than usual but Breakfast plates were cold and although the breakfast was nice it was not very warm
Not a great deal to be honest
It was over priced for what you got, not worth £85. Would hav ebeen better off at the travel lodge. The rooms were absolutely tiny. Access to gym and health facilities was difficult. Breakfast selection was poor. The bathroom was dirty and looked old and in severe need of a re- vamp. Bedroom was dusty.
We were given a suite for the price of a normal room, though this was probably to get us as far away as possible from a disco party that was going on in the hotel. The latter did not however spoil our visit as it ended reasonably early.
Although our room was fine, the hotel has a generally run-down and shabby appearance. The breakfast was very good and the staff friendly and efficient. The hotel just feels to have seen better days.
Will make sure that we use this hotel again. Food was very good and perfect location for our needs
The food was excellent, the staff very helpful, just a lovely placeto stay
Good location, pleasant staff and a decent room overlooking golf course and sea view
The location at the golf links and beach side was excellent The building was very impressive from the outside. It was clean and well maintained, the staff were very friendly and helpful and overall my stay was comfortable. Breakfast was good
The interior was a little bit of a let down after the expectations created by the facade, it was clean and well maintained, but could have benefitted from interior expertise as there were some very twee touches. The menu on offer was quite extensive, but the quality was not hotel standard, it was just decent pub food.
Very cold bathroom but hot bedroom, in the process of upgrading so hope this is fixed room 23.
Had a great stay here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good location next to the sea front and 15 minute walk from the station. The breakfast was excellent, the best I've had at a hotel. Rooms were great with good sea views, comfy bed, tv and tea and coffee facilities. Really recommend.
Couldnt find any fault
friendlyness, helpfulness and food all very good
The food was good and the staff were very pleasent
The bedroom lighting was poor and the fan did not work in the ensuite also the the shower head bracket was broken so could not be used as intended.
