The castle's historical charm grabs you from the moment you arrive. The views from my sea view room were breathtaking, especially early in the morning. My room had ample space and felt cozy. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi connection was inconsistent, which made streaming a challenge. Staff were friendly, eager to assist, and the service felt personalized. Dining in the hotel exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast that offered a good variety, but I missed the fresh fruit option. Housekeeping was a bit hit or miss. while fresh towels were provided, the actual cleaning of the room was overlooked during my stay. The location is perfect for exploring nearby beaches and scenic walks, but parking can be tricky, especially when events are happening.

The architecture stands out with its grand spiral staircase and armor displays that add to the castle vibe. The new cocktail bar at the back has a charming atmosphere, making it a great spot to unwind with some suggested wine pairings.
The room felt much tighter than expected for a grand establishment, with a disconcerting musty smell that lingered. Windows were filthy on the outside, and a cable dangled from the ceiling, which was just not right. Noise from nearby guests at odd hours was an issue, leading to disrupted sleep. Limited parking can be a hassle. The bathroom mirror was frustratingly high for an average-height person and the absence of air conditioning left the room uncomfortably warm during the night.
